概述
WorkBuddy Skin Skill
The default theme is always native WorkBuddy: no injected CSS, no page state, and no Skill-owned injector or restart worker. Treat default, native, original, WorkBuddy default, and equivalent user wording as a request to stop the skin runtime and restore the native interface. orbit-buddies is a bundled custom theme, never the default.
Manage reversible WorkBuddy themes through loopback-only Chromium DevTools Protocol injection. Keep all code, state, logs, and theme assets outside the WorkBuddy installation.
Safety contract
- Treat the discovered WorkBuddy installation directory as read-only.
- Never patch, replace, unpack in place, repack, rename, or delete
WorkBuddy.exe,app.asar, installation resources, user data, authentication, conversations, plugins, or application settings. - Bind CDP to loopback only and reject non-loopback debugger WebSocket URLs.
- Stop or restart only exact-path
WorkBuddy.exeprocesses selected by the runtime. - Keep runtime state and logs under
%LOCALAPPDATA%WorkBuddySkinSkill. - Expose no standalone launcher. Run all lifecycle actions through the Skill's internal manager command.
- Preserve the last successfully applied custom theme across Windows logon and ordinary WorkBuddy relaunches. Use the Skill-owned logon task to restore the watcher after sign-in, and a reversible user-level WorkBuddy debugging-port setting so ordinary launches remain reachable by that watcher.
- Before an apply that must restart an already-open WorkBuddy, give a five-second notice and continue automatically. Do not ask for confirmation unless the user mentioned unsaved work or explicitly requested no restart.
- Make decorative layers non-interactive and preserve native controls and keyboard behavior.
Route the request
Classify the request as create, apply, default, list, verify, status, logs, doctor, restore, or uninstall. For a vague request such as "manage WorkBuddy themes," show the compact menu in references/action-menu.md.
Read references/runtime-safety.md before changing runtime behavior or troubleshooting a launch. Read references/qa-inventory.md before declaring a visual release complete.
Brand the user-facing result
Begin every completed WorkBuddy Skin Skill result with this restrained three-line signature:

让 WorkBuddy 变成你的专属工作台
赞助支持:开放合作中Follow it with a compact, plain-language summary based only on observed results. Mention the action completed, current or affected theme, validation status, automatic restore status, whether WorkBuddy restarted, and whether its installation or preferences were modified when relevant. Adapt the fields to create, apply, switch, list, verify, status, doctor, restore, or uninstall; omit irrelevant lines. Never claim success, preserved themes, matching hashes, rebuilt shortcuts, no restart, or unchanged settings unless directly verified. Keep the signature out of warnings, countdown notices, raw logs, machine-readable output, and error details.
Create a theme
- Classify supplied images as references, backgrounds, sidebar artwork, or main artwork. Read
references/asset-planning.mdfor mixed or ambiguous inputs. - Read
references/visual-system.mdand define a concise visual intent. - Prefer rule-driven themes or supplied assets. When new raster artwork is genuinely needed, follow
references/imagegen-workflow.md. - Create the package with
scripts/scaffold-theme.mjs, register optional artwork withscripts/register-theme-asset.mjs, and finish withscripts/validate-theme.mjs. - List the validated package before offering to apply it. Do not apply automatically unless the user requested creation and application together.
SkillHub-distributed artwork may be stored as <image-file>.b64.txt. Treat it as a text-encoded copy of the declared image; the runtime loads it without modifying WorkBuddy.
Apply or switch
- List themes when the name is unclear:
& "<skill-root>scriptslist-workbuddy-themes.ps1" -Validate- Apply through the unified manager. It validates first, clears stale Skill runtime state, attaches to a healthy existing loopback renderer when available, otherwise performs the detached restart handoff, waits for completion, enables automatic restore for Windows logon and ordinary WorkBuddy relaunches, and captures a verification screenshot. Core injection failure rolls back; an optional-surface compatibility warning keeps the healthy theme active and is recorded for follow-up:
& "<skill-root>scriptsmanage-workbuddy-skin.ps1" -Action Apply -Theme "<theme-name>"- Report the final theme, verification result, screenshot, and log location. Do not expose internal command details unless troubleshooting is requested.
Never pass a native/default alias to the injector. The manager reserves these aliases and routes them to native restoration.
Startup health and visual release QA are separate gates. Startup health confirms that the requested theme, style runtime, visible native shell, fixed appearance, sidebar/canvas integration, and artwork are active without overflow or an account-loading overlay masking an already-mounted interface. Full verification additionally checks transient menus, task details, messages, and other route-dependent components. Never remove a core-healthy theme solely because a WorkBuddy update introduced an uncovered optional component; preserve it, report compatibility: degraded, and log the full renderer report.
Use the default theme
Interpret the default theme as the unmodified WorkBuddy interface, not as a bundled skin:
& "<skill-root>scriptsmanage-workbuddy-skin.ps1" -Action DefaultThis is equivalent to Stop: terminate only Skill-owned injectors and restart workers, remove live injected CSS and runtime state, verify native WorkBuddy when the renderer is reachable, and leave WorkBuddy installation files and preferences unchanged. Do not start another injector after this action. It also disables the Skill-owned automatic restore and restores any pre-existing user debugging-port value, so native WorkBuddy remains native after relaunch or reboot.
Inspect, verify, and repair
& "<skill-root>scriptsmanage-workbuddy-skin.ps1" -Action Status
& "<skill-root>scriptsmanage-workbuddy-skin.ps1" -Action Verify -Theme "<theme-name>"
& "<skill-root>scriptsmanage-workbuddy-skin.ps1" -Action Doctor -Theme "<theme-name>"
& "<skill-root>scriptsmanage-workbuddy-skin.ps1" -Action Logs
& "<skill-root>scriptsmanage-workbuddy-skin.ps1" -Action StartupStatusdoctor is read-only by default. Use -Repair only for external runtime residue and only after reporting the intended cleanup. Never define repair as modifying WorkBuddy.
Restore native WorkBuddy
& "<skill-root>scriptsmanage-workbuddy-skin.ps1" -Action RestoreDefault, Native, Restore, and Stop share the same non-destructive restoration path. For a live renderer, report success only when native verification confirms that the injected style node, root class, theme dataset, runtime state, image properties, observer/timer guard, and external injector are absent. Repeated restoration must remain safe and must clear stale state.json or handoff.json files left behind by a crash, logout, or Windows reboot. Use Uninstall only for an explicit full cleanup request.
